A 60-90 minute full evaluation of the orofacial dysfunction addressing the concerns of the client. Photographs, measurements and other individualized assessments including a detailed and customized treatment plan outlining the goals of therapy. Included is a detailed report to send to the medical and dental providers of the client by a board certified orofacial myofunctional therapist.
Each client has an individualized myofunctional therapy program with their own set of goals. Exercises are expected to be practiced 2-3 times a day, however most exercises will only take a few minutes. Sessions are held weekly or biweekly during the first 2 phases and eventually spaced out in Phase 3, or the habituation phase.

Thumb sucking, fingernail biting, extended pacifier use are just a few examples of negative oral habits. Jessica's habit elimination program is generally 1 month long and involves participation of not only the child but encouragement of the family.
The release of a tongue tie, or ankyloglossia involves pre and post exercises. Generally we start 4-6 weeks before the procedure and follow up with post frenectomy exercises to build awareness of the new function. Myofunctional therapy, or orofacial myology is important after the release to normalize and habituate the tongue, lips and other muscles of the face due to a life time of compensation.
